Please help with the Cannon Rebel XSi!?

I just purchased a kit off of eBay and have wanted to to get into photography for quite sometime and finally decided to take the plunge. I'm just looking for any information and as much as possible, I plan on studying the manual very thoroughly, what are the differences in lenses and stuff too? Insider and experienced shooter tips would be greatly appreciated, well any help would be lol.
