Can i connect blue VGA to greenish blue VGA?

i want to connect my LCD tv to my computer and i see that the computer has no hdmi but does have VGA that looks a blue-ish/green color and my tv has a clearly blue VGA input. or put. idk. how do you know what is an input and whats an output? does it matter? basically i want to make my tv my monitor without messing anything up.... how can i do that? and are there different types of VGA anyway?
